Which states don’t mandate vaccinations for public school kids?
Was the question.
Talking about getting an exemption doesn’t answer the question, but it reinforces the idea that they are mandated.
Exemptions aren’t necessary for voluntary activities.
If you can opt out...it's not a mandate 😉

So you aren't opting out if you has philosophical conflict with vaccinations? You're painting with a very broad stroke without knowing what the opt out threshold is for every state in the union...only 3 don't provide a way to opt out...the others have a variety of reason to...

As I said my parents weren't forced to vaccinate me as kid...they chose to and had the option not to while still enrolling me in school...that's way different a mandate which is govt force...

Correct.
“opt out - choose not to participate in something”

You don’t simply just “choose” not to participate in vaccination when it is mandated. You have to be given an exemption.

Try joining the military and just saying “I choose not to be vaccinated.”
Oh? Cool. We choose to dishonorably discharge you.

Military is one thing. Private sector it's 1/2 a sheet of paper to opt out. Luckily for the anti-vaxxers by refusing to vax and increasing the reservoir of viruses and increasing the level of exposure one might get, we can all participate in being anti-vaxxers.

And yet people want to use religion as the basis for government to create anti-abortion laws.

They feel everyone should be mandated to follow the tenets of their religion, but their religion should not be taxed or follow regulations.

Got it.

No. You are not.
Opt means to choose. You can opt-out of being a union member at your job, but you don’t get to opt-out of doing your work but still get paid.

A philosophical conflict with a vaccination is not simply “opting out”. It’s providing an accepted reason to be exempt from doing something. Without the exemption, you do what is mandated, or face whatever consequences may be prescribed.

Use the draft for Vietnam war as an example. You didn’t just “opt out” for fear of dying. You proved that you were eligible for an exemption, you dodged, or you went to war as mandated.
A simple “opt out” was not an option.

Make sense?

Will you provide a list of the states that don’t mandate vaccines for kids going to public school? Or where it’s purely optional?

I like how you're comparing the Vietnam nam draft to school enrollment...quality sh!t right there 🤣🤣🤣
When you are discussing mandated actions, you can use any analogy that involves mandated actions.

Analogy is fun that way. Did you know my watch has more computing power than the computers used for the moon landing?

Absolutely insane that I would talk about a smart watch in the same context as the moon landing, huh?

So, tell us more how you can just say “I don’t feel like it. “ to vaccinating a child for public school, and what states do not not require vaccinations for kids attending public school.

There is no analogy between the draft and school vaccination...read up on the military rules for forced vaccination and the requirements for it...you know it's a ridiculous comparison if you had...

The draft was mandatory (and AFAIK, Selective Service signup still is).
Vaccination is mandatory to attend public school.
That's where an analogy comes into play.

So tell us: What states say "get your kids vaccinated only if you feel like it" to attend public school?
When did they say the Vietnam draft was waived if you didn't feel like going?

Tell us which of these shots you can "just say no" to when you join the US military:
  • Adenovirus
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza
  • Measles, mumps, rubella
  • Meningococcal
  • Poliovirus
  • Tetanus-Diphtheria
  • Varicella
Tell us about non-mandatory vaccinations for military dating back as far as George Washington.
