Studies have already shown for the -19 variant that the viral load in vaccinated people who get infected is 3-4x lower than it is in the unvaccinated infected group.
A lower viral load if you are infected means lower chances of spreading infection to the non-infected.
Think of it this way: You have a machine gun that is difficult to aim. Are you more likely to hit a target with 100 rounds, or 1,000? Or, are you more likely to win a raffle with 1 ticket or 600?
Simple math.
For your analogy, do you think society should wear gas masks so people can smoke whenever and wherever they please?
Let’s take that to a new level; How about you wear a tyvek suit and mask to a restaurant so I can spray paint canvases at the table next to you? Or you wear earplugs to a movie so I can listen to a big Bluetooth speaker playing music while sitting behind you?
YOU are the outlier. It is not incumbent on society to change itself in order to protect from the outlier. It’s up to the outlier to change or to stay away from society.

Criminals are also outliers. They get removed from society when they commit crime, instead of society removing itself from the criminal.

Just my opinion but why get mad at the individual? Why no public outcry to castrate China for creating COVID-19? Why no outcry to imprison those who sent money to China for the research that created COVID-19? Why is everyone cool with the fact that Americans helped China by funding a country that created a virus that is contributing to the death of so many people??? Instead, people are bickering about "Vaccines", "Booster shots" and "Mask".... really?

I think your anger is misplaced. If I choose to not wear a mask then accept it. It is not up to me to protect YOUR health. That job lies with you and you alone just as it is not up to the government to tell me how to protect myself. At best they should give suggestions and options and then the individual can make their own decisions on what they want to do. Sadly, so many of you are not capable of being an adult and apparently can't make decisions for yourself and need "Big Brother" to tell you how to live your lives. Then you proceed to argue with those of us who are capable and prefer to live our own lives and make decisions for ourselves.

If you can't make your own decisions and can't live your lives as adults then go find some people to live with so they can take care of you but for phucks sake, stop telling other people how to live their lives when you can't even live your own lives. Scared to go anywhere because someone may not have a mask on? Stay your timid arse at home, problem solved.

There is no virtue signaling by me, merely many statements of fact regarding what is happening, and ongoing debate and discussion with people who think their opinion is correct even though they do nothing to support that opinion within the argument.
