Could you imagine if an actual pandemic like bird flu spread to humans with ~50% mortality rate.

You might be right about the proving a negative comment I made. In my haste to hook your thought process to religions I made an incorrect comment. That still doesn’t mean a mandate will work or is even necessary though. It’s not stopping the transmission, which is kinda the whole point. If it only causes self harm to avoid the vaccine then that is a persons choice to die from Covid. We don’t need to be people’s saviors. It’s turning people against the vaccine that normally wouldn’t be. I will share my example. I’m an atheist, but my mother is super religious. We argue all the time, but I am not going to change her mind about God. She is anti-vaccine and GMO for religious reasons even after all my years of arguing. She went in for a colonoscopy and has been refused service since the beginning of Covid at places that take her Medicare. She was refused again today because of Omicron after 14 months of waiting for this appointment. She is having serious stomach issue. Do you really think that my political beliefs will trump the love I have for my mother? If she were to die due to these stupid fvcking laws that are being proposed I would burn down the system myself regardless of political party, and if you think there aren’t a million other people who think just like I do, just wait, it’s about to be pushed over the edge. I’m a Bernie Sanders supporter, but if policies from the people I believe in start to resemble fascism and removal of personal freedom and body autonomy, I’m done. This can’t be the way.

When something happens that affects the masses, and the masses affect each other, rules get put in place for everyone to follow. Oversimplified, but think of a one-way streets. A rule in place because each driver can affect many others.
If COVID only affected singularly, I wouldn't give a flying fvck if you or anyone else got the virus of your own stupidity or not. But when you can affect the public? Different ballgame.

The vaccine isn’t stopping transmission Rob. That little detail might be inconvenient to your argument which is why you just skim right over it, but it’s the only detail that matters. It is not stopping transmission of Covid. The data is out there if you care. We will remove people’s freedoms for no reason at all. That is stupid and will make sure Republicans win the midterm and the next presidential election. Horrible strategy.

What about the people who catch covid or die with or of covid that aren’t counted as vaccinated because their covid problems start within two weeks of their vaccinations, which the CDC counts them as being not vaccinated, even though they are?

So they can inject you, and claim you’re not injected, and if the injection kills you, they labeled it as an unvaccinated covid death within 2 weeks. Seems legit.

It’s easy to create a dangerous injection and blame the deaths on the virus and not the MRNA vaccine, especially when you avoid any association between counted deaths from the vaccine within 2 weeks of vaccination, and instead claim all problems within the two weeks are with the “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
