what is thw smallest SQ subwoofer

My car is sedan there is a space but I need it , I need your recommendation for a small sub or a small enclosure or whatever to save space and keep sound quality.

what do you conisder small? some would say that a subwoofer is not neccesary with the proper front stage. If we're really talking SQ

yeah well most subs have a hard time hitting 20hz also (well at least flat, or even close)

How many mid basses get down to 20hz?

most subs don't even have a frequency response that low. the tang band 6.5's on parts express would sound good in a sealed off door, or pod. there are also small box subs that will fit in really small spots.

^ made a post about the tangs yesterday, i recommend the peerless sls ove rthem because of sensativity, but their magnet is huge

both very solid for the money imo

i've heard the tang bands in home audio applications. never heard them in mobile audio, but i thought they'd work fine. the peerless speakers do look nice. never heard those yet.

i've run both, like i said they're both very solid for the money and cant go wrong either way... the tangs are less sensative but have a skinnier magnet... they also have alonger magnet... either way i cant roll my windows all the way down with one inch spacer, on either of them

but they wont compete with a real good 8 or bigger, but for 6.5 they pound... and if you can fit htem in your doors sounds pretty good cause they put out alot of bass from infront of you

or you could check out the sls 8... its like the same price..

i made a thread a while back about possibly sealing them off in my doors as subs. i've since decided to build a really small box for a sub behind my seats instead, but if i go active, i might actually use something from tang band, peerless, or dayton as midbass.

its waht i did, just remember either of them wont play above 800hz at most really
