It looks like he's using the speaker level outputs of his HU to send a signal to his Bose factory amps and speakers. The Bose amp doesn't have RCA inputs so you can't use the RCA outputs. The LOC allows him to level match the speakers outs to the correct input level for the Bose system.

the reason this guy used it

is so he could use the factory amplififer with his aftermarket stereo.

how easy is that.

You seem to have an aftermarket and therefore do not need this. So guess what, you have your answer. You DONT need to use this. Thread over, have a wonderful morning.
