What is the smallest footprint amp you ever had...

I had 2 Autotek 7050XX's back in 1992 that were pretty small, not as small as the U.S. Amps though. Kickin' little amps too, they rocked right with the HCCA's, but not too many people knew about them back then.

not sure how powerful they were, but I had two panasonic amps a little smaller than a 3x5 notecard,

I think I still have them in a box somewhere.

The smallest amp I ever owned was a Clarion that a housemate once brought to me with a claim of having found it in someone's trash. Cannot remember the model number or even if I ever actually knew what it was!

While I have no idea if the claimed origin had any truth to it or not it was a little bitty amplifier ~ 4 ch, rated @ 25w X 4 @ 4 Ohms, 35w X 4 @ 2 Ohms, and not bridgeable.

It was the exact same size (width, height, and length) as the Clarion 72EQ half-DIN 7-band passive EQ that I ran at the time.

I just got a brand new Soundstream Reference 200 that is small, about 8x9. I thought it was cool to find a new one so I jumped at it.

I had a oldschool MTX amp. It was white and was no more than 8"x6". It was pretty darn powerfull. I remeber it being around 250 rated but actual was a lot more.

The smallest ballsy amps I remember were the OLD Rockford Punch series. The originals. The Punch 45 was tiny and the Punch 75 wasn't much bigger.

I have a PG MPS-2240 and it is the same heatsink as the MS-275 and neither are what i would call small. The original Sounstream Ref series were really small (half sheet of paper for a footprint for 2x50).

I think the award for the smallest footprint for a truly powerful amp goes to the original Blade amps. They were the first to come out with Class D amps and they were full range. Absolutely beautiful gloss black cases with no visible heatsinking. The 2x100 version was about 8x8x1.5" IIRC. The 2x200 version was only about 8x10x1.5".

Dont own one, nor do I know if it does rated power. but Ive seen and held a Massive audio 500x1 and it was freakishly small also I would say it was about 10"x10"

It's like the size of a paperback novel. Small.

The older punch series amps were very good amps as well, I remember the punch 45.
