but what you want isn't good. what you want is what causes noise ordinances and people trying to ban loud systems all together. if you want to get rediculously loud then build a competition car and take it to comps. What you HAVE is what people strive for, loud in car, quiet out of car.

But I still want to get loud if I ever wanted to...but I didn't even know there was discussion about banning systems due to that. So you opened my eyes. It won't stop me from doing it, but I will be more cautious. I should also mention that I'm just a loud freak. If I had the right setup I'd probably park my car somewhere and see how far away I could hear it, just for f*cks sake.

How do people have subs that at lower volumes than mine can be heard very far away? What is the trick? I have a ported 10" mtx thunder 7500 and inside the car it sounds really loud, even with it so loud it hurts my ears when you are outside the bass doesnt even travel at all. what is the secret to having that clear bass that travels a long way while inside the car it isnt at some insane hearing-loss level?

bolded parts kinda don't make sense with eachother boss. you are loud enough to cause damage to your ears already.

but can you see the difference in your two posts'. it's all in how you word your questions, and you came off as an idiot in your OP. my only advice i can offer is to make a comp car.

Do you have kids?

I love my stuff loud and I mean really LOUD. But I know better than to play it as loud as possible with my windows down in residential areas.

Example: Im trying to get my kids to lay down for a nap and somebody drives by about the time they are almost asleep windows down cranked up and shaking my windows. My kids get up and wont go back down now I have cranky kids the rest of the day. Then that evening when Im trying to get them to go to bed the same thing happens and I am furious. Get the picture.

About the sound ordinances:

Since you dont seem to have a clue about sound ordinances heres whats going on in my city. You can get a ticket for having a stereo that can be heard 25ft away from the vehicle. They are now discussing a law that allow the police to impound your stuff for up to 6 months for repeated offenses. These type of laws are being created because of people who have no consideration for others.

People with your attitude are making it hard for everybody including those like us who take pride in our audio systems.
