worth upgrading from CVX to RL-P?

I have a 12" CVX in a 2.3cf @ 29hz box right now... is it worth selling the CVX and dropping in an RL-P? I found someone local selling the 12" rl-p for $180. I originally wanted to ditch my setup and get a 15" RL-P and run it sealed, but I'm thinking of buying this sub.

i'd say at 180 thats a pretty good deal. you can probably put it in the same box too. the rl-p is great ported.. and tuned that low you'll retain its great SQ

man I love seeing all these posts.. and I have the woofers coming to test.

CVX on paper appears to be a pretty strong woofer... we'll see how it fairs next month..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

output wise, i think teh rl-p will hold it's own, but the cvx wins. sq wise, it's jsut the opposite. teh cvx will hold it's own, but the rl-p is just an awesome sq beast IMO.

if your wanting sealed, the rl-p wins IMO too. 1.25ft^3 is cherry, but you will lose ouptu, for either sub.

i say try a sealed box for yoru cvx first. that don't work, get the rl-p.

i can't wait to see loyd's test results!

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :Slayer:
