They're obviously completely different amplifiers, given that single fact.

The HCCA-D1200 would be the comparable amplifier out of the new lineup to the 600D

Yes the current HCCA amps are new for '06 and replace the previous series of amp.

They are both the same amp (power wise i believe) it was just orions stupid power claims (ie. the 600d saying 1200, the 1200 saying 2400, and the 2500 saying 5000) good marketing by them though, but deffiently not real output power

The HCCA-D600 does not ouptut the same power as the 600D, which are the two amps in the original post.

so the 600d says 1200w max, does that mean it goes down to .5 ohm?

I am thinking about getting the 600D. Seems the best way to go. The newer Orion comparable to that is the D-1200. But the price different is alot..( $230 compared to $430)
