I need a new amp

well apparantly, another scum from ebay took advantage of someone who knew little about car audio. I recently bought a so called 1600w max amp that was 400x4 peak watts off of ebay. ( I am in the process of returning it now because its a POS). anyway i had my newly made box, all of my wire hooked up and when i turned the subs on they sounded like shit, i figured it was the box so i was looking into that, btw,my amp is a cuspid extreme AM-4310... 1. What kind of subwoofers are they? What coil configuration?

2. Never look at max ratings on the amp or woofer.

3. Your fault for not learning about something before you go buy crap.

yeah i kno i should have looked into it but they are acoustic audio subs 400w RMS with a 2” Parabolic RFL Voice Coil, any help would be much appreciated!

What is a "low budget"? You could get this for around $100 shipped on ebay. Wire the subwoofers in parallel to get a 2 ohm load and the amp does about 450W @ 2 ohms.

i have a power acoustik A1000DB and im running two subs and it works fine and a mono amp can handle 2 subs fine ..... also the amp has a fan it dont say it does but i know it has one

what the freak is a cuspid exterme??? sorry to hear that they got you but i guess you learned your leason....well there are a ton of good buget amps but how much you looking to spend??

a mono amp can support as many subs as you want as long as its wired correctly. so each sub is 400w rms and has a single 4 ohm voice coil? then i would go with the guy above me who said the pa a1000db.

im lookin in the 200-250 price range, but I can prolly go up to 300, but not right away.. thanks for all the input guys!

o and I looked into that amp, and I was wondering how I would bridge 2 subs into the 1 channel, if anyone knows plz post
