mdf...about $20

stained exotic cherry wood with oak accents (lol) like $600 (lol)

1/2 + 1/2 mdf = 28-30 dollars with tax , 3/4mdf + 1/2 mdf (1.25) = 35-37 dollars with tax

lol, i was just kidding..... but there probably is a type of wood that cost that much lol

anyways, use mdf for subwoofer enclosures, hel l unless your getting a heavy @$$ sub, you only need 3/4 inch mdf not 1"

Lol @ cherry scented oak wood aw man you fooled me I thought you was serious I was like whoa dude $600.00 for Oak board?.

Yeah my box designer stresses me to use 1 thick inch wood. The sub is 62ibs so I think 3/4 MDF would just not do it.

Id use regular 3/4 MDF, but double up on the baffle, for a total of 1.5 inches.

What sub is this? You dont need 1" board if the box is built and braced properly... You can double up on 3/4" for the baffle.

i doubled up on 3/4 on the speaker mount side because i downfired and wanted to secure my subs with 1 1/4 inch screws, but a well made box, braced is good at 3/4 for almost anything.

Okay you sure? The box is going to be 10cu.ft. Tuned to 30hz using 2 PSP 6" ports and its an 18" Resonant engineering MT bangin' inside..

anyways, listen to the previous suggestions, two layers of 3/4" is more than enough i've seen a 100lb cerwin vega stroker pro setup using a dual layer 3/4" box
