I need 2 15's, but cant decide on wich way to go, each pair will run me 300 more or less, used and new. The subs are Alpine Type R and Diamond Audio

D3 and RE SE series. im going to throw about 2k at these, let me know what you guys think!!

I know the R's will take 1k daily, would the SE's take 1k daily??
If you're smart about it, yes. The new R's are still probably the most underappreciated subwoofers on the mainstream market (since brands like Fi, Audioque and Dayton aren't known to most people looking for subs), and they will surprise anyone you show them to. The problem is that you're comparing 3 different types of subs. With that said, it's a tossup between the SE and the R. The R's will be louder, the SE's will be much cleaner. Price aside, the SE is more like the Type X or Fi.Q in that it is SQ oriented, while the Type R would be more like the SX in that it is more SQL oriented. It's your choice, but as said in the previous posts, the R is going to be louder, but the SE will be cleaner and smoother. So basically, what are you wanting from the speakers? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
