okay i have one subwoofer, 2 speakers a head unit

and i havent decided if i should get a 4 channel amp or just a 2 channel amp

but i need a 4 channel if i want to hook up the 2 speakers and the subwoofer, but is it bad if i only use 3 channels? or will the unused power of the 4th chaneel be used in the 3 channels im using?

if you want to do this you will need to use either a single 4 ohm sub or a dual 2 ohm sub (dual 2 ohms will give you 4 ohms)

the front will be the fronts obviously

the rear (or channels 3&4) will be bridged or combined so you will be using all 4 outputs

1 for front left,1 one for front right ,and 2 for the rear

its gonna be a funky system, its all going to be together in the back (becasue i drive a old bug) so i want to keep it as stock as possible, i dont have room for 4 speakers, only 2 speakers and 1 8" subwoofer

but thanks for the information guys!
