Im not saying anything bad about its a great woofer and it does have more than good sq but it depends on how loud he wants it.

Im going to have to say a Audioque sdc series..I just put a 15 in a friends truck in a blaow through 4.4 cube before tuned to 38 hz and is beeing pushed by a Rockfor 25 to life punch 75 with a birth card reading of 732 at 2ohm..He sees 145-146 on music at the dash...I think those subs perform awesome when pushed to their max rms rating.

How loud do you want to be? What you listen too. What car? T5-12 would be my pick. . Are you running two subs?
