What is the best factory sound system?

I know that in a website dedicated to aftermarket sound systems, asking about factory sound systems that came in cars is kinda pointless. But what car you have been in, that you were actually impressed by the factory sound? Obviously none ever made can hold a candle to what you can buy and install, but I do know that I have sat in a few cars and thought "Dang, for factory sound, that's not half bad." Given what we are used to from them, I mean. Most of the factory sound I have ever heard has been junk, but when you get in a car where they actually put a little bit of effort into it, it's nice. Back in '99, I bought a '1995 Mustang GT that I kept till '08. For a few years I kept the "Mach 460" Sound that came with it. I can say that it was very well balanced. It was an 8 speaker component system. It also had 3 little amplifiers that came stock with the system. Best factory sound that I have encountered. Though I hear that in modern times they have improved it, and thus renamed it the mach 1000. So what car have you been in that you thought was a cut above the rest, when it came to factory sound?

My friend just bought a 09 civic SI and I was very impressed with the overall sound. Without hearing any other factory systems out there currently I would say this HAS to be somewhere near the top for a 20k car.

my 01 montero limited has a nice premium factory sound, it is infinity and has 7 speakers: 2 tweeters, 4 6.5" components and a 8" sub. Also came with a factory amp of course. Its still good even though i took the sub out because it was blown. I've decided to keep the stock b.c they get really loud and clear with my new head unit. Didn't really worry about placing the sub b.c i now a 15" sub sub in the back.

my work truck is a gmc z71 crew cab w/bose system. Sounds pretty good. Has 6.5's in the doors and tweeters in the a-pillars. Does not distort at relatively high volume and puts out more bass than any aftermarket 6.5" mid I have used. I am going to pull the panel and see how that is. They may have some kinda 6th order enclosure in the door panel since that's Bose's claim to fame.

Most factory systems these days are fairly decent. I didn't think the Mach system was decent though. But that is due more to the Mustang being a rattle trap, that even the base stereo made the doors and decklid rattle.

my eldorado had a bose system with 3" mids that were ported as well.

The caliber srt4. You could choose between a boston acoustic or kicker sound systems. With the kicker system, you get 13 speakers in total.

2 - Tweets in the Dash

8 - 1x Component Set in Each door

2 - Full range speakers in the tailgate

1 - Kicker square solobaric 10" Sub.
