what is SPL vs. SQ

ive been on these boards for a few weeks now

and i have been learning a lot about car audio... which

i was completely blind to when i joined... so thanks...

but...

everywhere i look its SPL this or SQ that... also

component vs coaxial...

what does this stuff mean???

i tried reading the car audio terms defined and didnt

see an entry for SPL or SQ....

supa_c actually helped me out when i was trying to get my

system running at all... so no harm to a good thrust of

sarcasim/captain obvious direction to the dictionary...

i admit i couldve searched more...

i will read what you recommened... thanks...

spl= equals who cares what it sounds like as long as it causes brain damage

sq = ahhhhhhhhhhh the plesent sounds of a rain drop lightly splattering the vessels of a water oak leaf with the sun sizzling the the morrning dew off the ground

SQL= hard nose street pounding get the F outa my way cause it sounds good and can cause temp brain damge. with sql you usualy say .. hmm didn't know this song had words

with sq you say i wish the singer would quit spitting on the mic

with spl you would say nothing cause you wouldn't be heard anyway
