i hate the **** out of alpine subs and amps but if you are coomparing alpined best with fosgates lowest the alpine will obviously win..

but take fosgated top of the line...the power hx2(well it is for now until the step above the come out) and compre them...the fosgate would make the s h itty alpine drown in its own voice coil...well i dont know about kill...it is all in the install...the punch could have a good chance if it is done right...

maybe. I'm not a big fan or fosgate, or alpine.

I think that an alpine would have a fair chance against an HX2 also.

And it would sound a good deal better too.

sound quality would be better but spl..the hx2 would demolish the s hitty alpine...but i am not even a fan of alpine but fosgate makes good amps...

Well since I have a Type R and my brother has some Fosgate Hx2's, both mine and my brothers are in slot ported boxes. SQ wise I kill his subs they are very sloppy compared to Alpine. AND FOR SPL my subs still hit harder. He's running his Hx2's on a USA1000 amp so its not the amp and its not the Box because he had it built by a Rockford dealer to exact specs. I'm running my type R off a USX800D. I have my box tuned to 33Hz so maybe thats why mine hits harder. Maybe its because his amp pulls so much power from his alternator and battery that its not putting out the wattage the amp can put out. I'm not really sure, but I do know a good sub when I hear it and Alpine does the job.

for daily the RE XXX is far better, but for comp use I think the Teamn RF would win just by the specs, the 2000 watts is probably underratted by a little, but I am not sure yet, because I have not played with it no has any of my friends
