what is an active setup

basically an active setup is that you use an active crossover to set your crossover pts and slopes. so you have complete control on what speaker sees what frequency while a passive setup is where the company that you bought your components off of has already built a crossover for that component set. look up any component set and should come with their own passive crossovers. do a search on active crossovers and passive crossovers.
