There is no "best".

As for what sounds better than the JL's you have....it depends on your budget and what type of sound you prefer.

Also, note that 95% of a speakers "sound" is going to come from install and tuning. Great speakers installed and tuned poorly will sound like poop compared to mediocre speakers installed and tuned excellently.

look at Rainbow, Dynaudio, Morel, DLS, Focal.... those are some higher end brands

Both of those are 1) subjective, and 2) nondescript. What's loud to you may not be loud to me, and what sounds "clean" to you may not sound "clean" to me. Furthermore, you may like a bright tweeter while I enjoy a laid back tweeter. You may like subdued midbass while I like it to smack you in the face. See what I'm getting at?

We also still need to know your budget, aswell as how much power you will have available for them and the mounting locations.

too many things to consider best simplistic or best drawn out? what some would call the best network to run speakers (talking 3000 to 10000 bucks before drivers install or anything but the network) all depends
