What is a decent amp to put out around 1k or more?

I am going to purchase some DD 1508s, and im going to need an amp to push them eventually. Im wanting to get atleast 1k, or more out of a low budget amp. They are DVC 4s, so either a 2 channel, or a mono capable of 1 ohm is what im mostly after.. That should suit the price for watts best.

I was thinking maybe a hifonics amp? Ive never had one of those before, but they are pretty decent in price for the watts, right? And are they pretty decent amps with true or close to true rated RMS output?

I was thinking the cheapest bet would be a used mono block capable of 1 ohm.. Its going to have to be under 200, im thinking more around the 150 range. I dont know if i can find a decent amp for that cheap in the power range tho... Any ideas of model numbers of amps or anything to look for.. Looking for used stuff right now.

How about a hifonics 1200d for around 150 bucks used? I cant seem to find much on it online.. But its supposed to do 1200 RMS @ 1 ohm.

I purchased a circa 2003 Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 bd from a friend of mine for $50 because he lost the terminal block set screws and no one wanted to buy it. I plan on using it to power a pair of DD1508 SVC 4 ohms subs to give me 1,000 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. My buddy was not happy when I told him that set screws cost me a whopping $1.60 at Home Depot.

There was a point to this.... Oh yeah, the deals are out there if you know where to look! Because I am going to use it! Also, the price of gas has gone up since then and I did have to drive to get it after all.

****, that was a very nice deal. Honestly who the hell sells a nice amp for 50 bucks cuz of some screws? Just about any amp can get new screws from a hardware store. Unless it had some special connections. Which in this case like you said, under 2 bucks haha. I wont be buying the amp right now, i am just wondering what some good ones are, and in the mean time i am going to be searching for some deals. Just hope i ahve the money if/when i find a good deal.
