O.k. well i got in my car after school today. I have the remote hooked up to a switch so i have to manually turn off the amp if i want to. Most of the time i leave it on while im in school because nothing is really drawing and power from it. Well, when i get in everyday the sub is already on so i crank up the car and there is such a wierd noise comming from the sub. It totally baffles me. I cannot figure out what it is but it is noticable at all volumes. i drive home, turn of the car and leave again for soccer practice about an hour later and the noise is gone completely. It is really not something you want comming out of an IDQ!!! Does anyone know how or why it is doing this? Does my amp being on for a good 8 hours have anything to do with it?

is the remote wire you have a switch on, comming from your HU?

because when the deck is off. (car off) that wire has no voltage on it, so the amp will be off. regardless of where you leave the switch

i only had mine wired like that before i got an aftermarket hu and the system was on a loc

remote off the deck is def alot nicer. dont have to worry about it being left on..draining your battery and apparently effing up your ish

tell me your kidding.
and i know a really loose girl that goes to clemson //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif such a skank.
Unfortunately....No...

If you would like to give me some insight as how to do it properly, I wouldnt mind.

I have "amp" wire coming from my wiring harness, an "amp" wire coming from my head unit, and the remote wire from the amp itself, correct? Am I suppose to connect all three wires together? This seemed a little out of place to me

Oh, and what's teh skanks name //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

between the power and ground on your amp should be another port, significantly smaller in size, reading REM. thats your remote. run that up to your HU, and splice it together with the wire on your HU that says..you guessed it..REM

If Im not mistaken, my wiring warness doesn't have a wire that says REM but rather one that says "AMP ON". I assume this is the remote wire, since it's probably what will turn the amp on.

^ So this is how I should do it?
