Well if it's damaged, they usually don't take it... as far as I know.
I shipped a 20.1 to a member here, with full insurance on it. It was damaged to where it spit out DC voltage on the speaker outputs.
I filed a claim for the cost of repairs and shipping and such. After a few months of B/S and waiting, and myself providing the original purchase receipt, it was ruled in my favor and I received a check in the mail.
The entire time, the member I shipped it to never had to turn it over to fedex.
He ended up getting it taken care of with Incriminator, and I sent him payment for the repairs and shipping after I received the insurance check!
