so today i took one of my 12" type r's out today to test pit the whole in my new box. i unhooked all the wires and the terminal cup. i go to put it back on and i turn it up and my subs are hitting half as hard as what they were. my rearview mirror used to shake so bad i couldnt see anything behind me and now it doesnt shake at all. i wired it all up how i took it off. i just dont know why its like this. im going to pull it out and look at the insides of the sub to see if anything is wrong. i dont think its blown. anyone know the problem???

Thanks Matt

polarity has nothing to do with the wiring, your sub is a big *** magnet man, when you send the electro magnetic pulse thro it backwords it is a bad deal lol.

i mean that you will have the voice coils in this particular standpoint(because this topic can touch onto any electrical component) will try to send the signal backwords hence the no sound output(its not even no sound output once you run each sub individual you will find the one with the polarity wrong will make a really ****ed up sound, hence ****ing up the sound out of the other sub as well unless there in separate inclosure's)

its one big enclosure with each sub having its own space inside of that enclosure. they both work its just not as hard hitting or as loud. and when turned up loud to where i always turn it the sub i put back in today makes like a dull bass note. its weird sounding.

so you are saying that polarity has nothing to do with the way you wire a sub???
oh hell no polarity is all of it man, i am just saying that polarity isn't JUST about subs at all it has to do with the hole operation of what you are doing( messing with a car stereo) any component you **** around with can potently be hooked up wrong and you can mess with polarity in lots of different ways ( on your sub being one of the best things to **** up polarity because it can handle tons of watts)
