It is always better to have a box built or build it yourself. Prefab boxes arent worth the crap, you may have saved some money buying a prefab, but now you are still going to have a box built, unless you are satisfied with the sound now that you have covered the port:eyebrow: .

What i'm planning to do is change my car..because it rattles like shit:crap:

i'm gonna pass this car to my wife and i'm gonna get 99 tahoe or a 2000 blazer.

Should I custom build a huge ported or a big sealed for the suv ?

If I had a suv, I would go with a huge ported box with like 4 15" subs or something. You will have plenty room to do more in there.

Never ever buy a prefab ported box. Ported enclosures have several variables that affect their final performance, and the chances of you stumbling across a pre-fab ported box with the right combination that is suited to your specific sub is remote, at best. For sealed systems, basically you just need the right internal volume, decent prefab boxes are generally fine. People seem to be racist here against 'prefab' boxes... I have a prefab, and it's a nice deep 5 cubes tuned to 34 hz, it serves me well, they all aren't the worst things in the world.
