what exactly do ohms for speakers mean?

I have my sub setup, my HU, now I need to upgrade my speakers before i blow them. haha.

But what exactly do the ohms for speakers signify.

is it something i should even worry about since I'm probably not going to amplify them other than the HU's 50w amp.

ohms or Impedance is the electrical characteristic of a speaker that restricts ("impedes") the flow of power from your receiver or amplifier.
