Can You Hear Me Now?
so heres the deal. i set my gains properly with volume 27 out of 35 on the deck being the loudest. I have noticed that when i have the volume at level 22, the bass is just as loud, if not louder, than when i turn it up to max (27). Is my amp just out of juice or what?

1 of 2 things i would guess, Either your electricle is dieing down losing power or just that your speakers sound louder at 27 then they do at 22 may make the sub not sound as loud when it really is

thanks for the respond shorty,

yeah i dont think it is my electrical because the sub is only getting ~425 rms.

i thought it could be that the sub reached its limits but then i suppose it would start clipping if that were true

it sounds like you are pushing your subs to hard.the transient response is better at 22 than at 27 meaning your sub is keeping up with the sound that is being played whereas when you have it cranked to 27 the sound isn't as tight.

do u suggest turning down the gains then?

also i have the sub pre out level at 15/15 which was suggested by another memeber. He said that sub level should always be turned to the highest.

I usually set my preout for 12/13 out of 15 at most.

i keep my sub gains pretty low for daily with negative bass and only turn the sub up when i wanna bang hard.try turning your bass to 0 and the sub gain to about 8-10 maybe alittle lower.or set your bass to 2-3 and your sub out to 5-7 that should alow you to get good bass response without it sounding muddled.hope this helps
