Did you actually mean to type that?!?
The DAT D6 isn't geared towards SPL at all. It is generally considered an 'SQL' driver (the controversy over that term's mere existence notwithstanding) whereas it is of above-average accuracy while still maintaining the ability to get plenty loud in an appropriate enclosure.
w3 sucks *** D3 OWNS the w3.
yea go for a D3. .......got **** loud for a entry level sub.
Guys? Who said anything about a D3 excepting you two?
The thread is inquiring about a comparison between the dub3 and the Diamond D

I'm a Diamond Audio fanboi, admittedly, so you can take this recommendation of the D6 over the W3 anyday of the week with a grain of salt but there's actually reasoning behind it...
The D6, to my ears, simply sounds better. It's more accurate, it's louder (assuming both are in the right enclosure for the driver in question), and as a result of my bias and personal preference I think the D6
looks better.
The advantage of the W3 is that it doesn't need as much power to realize it's full potential. The Diamond is going to want 6-700w to "be all it can be" and the W3 will make do with considerably less juice.
If you can power the D6 like it wants to be then go for it.
If you're not going to have that much wattage on tap then perhaps the W3 would be a better choice for your application.
