I read in the manual that kenwood's "Loud" tries to equalize sound levels.

Prob like Trey said, It probably boosts frequencies esp bass.

I had the same question haha. After I read couple of post bout the boost feature and how many people on the forums dislike it. I turned mines off. I guess you do get a better natural sound, but does distort when you have it on. Better off adjusting the eq and x-over like ppl said. How's the 12W6v2?

I tend to have to turn up the volume all the up to like 40's for it to sound really loud and nice.
