MTX? i have some smaller audiobahn's, but i don't care about them anymore, they're sitting in my back seat in a $480 box, not hooked up or anything... i didn't have any money at first, but thats not a problem anymore...i'm looking for a totally crazy system to put in there, personally i want everything mtx, i just bought a 2003 firebird. i'm getting a custom made hatchback box, alot deeper than the normal ones...i'm looking at 2 of these 9500 series 15's or the competitions, 2 thunder1501D amps for the subs, the best sounding speakers they can get me, pushed by thunder 1004 amp...i already put a alpine 7897 and a cd changer...i have the subs, amps, and speakers, sorta, picked out, what else will i need? this should probably get me sponsered by MTX,

Thats about $450 too much...

anyway, the 9500 series isn't out yet, so can't say much about it. Have heard some pretty good things about it though.

Do you have a particular reason for going with all MTX? MTX is OK, nothing special.

they did stop making them in 2002, its a 2002/2003 firebird *****-am, so basically its a 2002...oh well. i always have liked mtx...i didn't think they were out yet, but whenever they are out...if i went with the competitons, it would be stupid, so n/m, i would be deaf if they were maxed out and i would probably need a back-up hatchback...lol

the audiobahn box is a abp200 with 2 10's, i didn't pay much at all though, bought it off e-bay for like $140 and shipping...lol, they probably sound good enough, but i don't care...

yeh, basically MTX is for kids that dont really know much, and are on a budget. Thats how it is at my school.

Get yourself 2 12" RE XXX's, 2 RE 35-1D's, a set of Adire Koda's up front, a Soundstream 2 channel, the biggest alternator you can find, and a few batteries.

HEY......the RFL 152 COMPETITION subwoofers are badass! They are 2000 rms and 4000 peak watts! You can find them at http://www.mtx.com you can't tell me that those subs are for "kid's with low budgets"......i'm not dissin' on you man, but those subs are tight you should check them out.

They also sound like pure ***. If I ever see anyone using one in a daily driver, I will laugh at them and piss on it.

those subs as everyone knows, loud yes, loud for the price, no, sound good, no, practical for a 2003 firebird for daily driving, HELL NO

i have a friend that had 2 10" XXX pushed by 2 A18001DT amps...he sold the subs and put 2 audiobahn 1500 RMS 12's, i think the flame compressions and they sounded ALOT better...if these XXX's are so good then why haven't i seen a dealer anywhere that carries them? and i had never heard about them until i came here...i talked to a few local business's around here and they have never even heard about them...

If he got the 'bahns to sound better than the XXX, then he did something wrong with them...

You don't see any dealers with them because RE has very few authorized dealers.

Local shops around here don't know about RE, ED , Adire, hell, even DD...yet they most don't carry a single driver that can outperform each of those companies' top driver...

See if you got some local MECA or dB Drag comps around you, go down to one, and talk to some people about these companies...they will tell you good things...

No need to be an ***. I guarantee that you would chuck the MTX RFL after a week of having it, it sounds horrid.
