What does 145 DB's feel like?

On the "buttmeter"... what on a roundabout idea does 145 dbs feel like? Gimme a few little details that give the idea of 145. Im getting ready to get metered this weekend, but theres going to be quite a few people there. If i can make 145, ill be happy. I just dont want to go there, and be kind of embarrased. Not a good feelin'. Figured if i can get an idea, it would make me feel a little better. No bashin, just figured someone drop some knowledge on this newwwwwb. Thanks guys!

don't worry about it. Just run and get a starting point.

The lower the note, the more physical stuff you see. When I do a full power sweep: at higher frequencies, mirrors and eyeballs dance, as it come down the side mirrors shake, toll-tag falls off, front window seal starts to flex, then nearer the low notes..the whole car threatens to self-destruct with body flexing window movement, you can't breathe, etc.

umm it hurts ur ears more then anything i guess thats how i heard it the first time i herd 145...u can feel the inner membrane of ur ear flapping to the bass lol....

everythign is moving and flexing alot of ur at a low note....

it really depends on the note... but your ears SHOULD hurt at 145.

yea coins going crazy all over the car side mirrors flap and try to make the car fly away..feels like your in a chair at sharper image with the pulse on..pretty fun.

when panels are flexin, mirrors are moving, or random stuff in your car is vibrating all over the place, you should be feelin pretty confident.

I was hitting around that at a low note at one point, and you can feel your inner ear drums vibrating, hard to breathe kinda, rearview mirror falls off and all the cd's in the visor case fall out onto the floor.

We'll.... to explain the physical side of things. Its a Tahoe. The side mirrors to get to flappin like nelly gettin his eagle on. Lol. The rearview does some serious rattlin'... Center console items get to shakin. And when totally sealed up, windows up... The back windows get to flexin a lil bit. Im hopin to see at least 142-145 and ill be happy.

Pain, Vibration, your nuts giggle agianst the seat, each individual experences certian refrence loudnesses differently.

i was doing a 49 and rear view didnt even barely move i dont thnk

Yeah i have same problem..i hit 144.5 with my setup and my rear view mirror dont move...but my side mirrors flex alot and my roof...side panels..humm just about anything...yeah feels like a little vibrator on high...i feel it on my rear end..it actually feels good...but yeah my ears hurt alot...nice thread..thanks
