What do you think about this truck?

dont get water on the top of the engine it will fill the plug holes with water and short the ignition system junk motors nice truck otherwise not worth more than 5500
lol you dont know what your talking about a 32v 5.4 dohc will outlast any gm motor you will constantly see them in the 200-250k witout a rebuild, and ive had plenty of these engines one is in my navigator and have never had this problem on any 4.6's or 5.4s

100k miles for 11k? not a good deal..
nice truck other wise
again they last forever but yes its not worth that much

Shitz, driving around here trying to take pics, yea right. These bastads can't drive a lawn more right... but yea, it was funny. Sad at same time, soooo sexy.
Happens to be the same model BMW I'm trying to get in March, but an older one say '04-'06, but yeah everything breaks down, could of been something simple.

you dont seem to realize, most of the engines now a days will go for a long time, all depending on how they have been taken car of.

you abviously have no clue lol i am a retired ase tech noob if it want for fords i woulda gone broke.

the newer models are better, but the 03 and under models are plauged with severe issues you want me to post all the hundreds of TSB's they have?

and you contradict yourdelf according to you they last forever but it isnt worth that much? so which is it? if it lasts for ever it is priceless right?

i think you are confused as to the reality of it all TBH............

and my sb 89 chevy has 289k on the original motor and will out pull any newer small block ford all day and get 14mpg doing it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

That's funny, my buddy that owns 3 different shops in a 250 mile radius says the same about GM. Which engine are you referring to 03 and under, because I know fords like the back of my hand and have tuned, worked, and built many. Also, you want to line that POS chevy axle to axle with an original 1984 inline ford 300 with a 5 speed granny and 345K miles... yea.

I dont understand this american VS foreign debate when most ( if not all ) are made in North America anyway, each and every company has lemons and cars that run for ever. Personal experience, maitnence history, driving style, and abuse all factor in to a car's life span.

5.4 and 4.6 fords

300 vs a sb isnt a fair comparison . the 4.9 is a monster down low but i'd do it i have the 14 bolt rear end //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif my truck will snap the fords axle in 1/2 easily. my truck isnt a standard truck its a fleet model with the knaphede boxes and the cast iron 3 speed gear box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i sit at 6700 RPM and 4 mph in granny and 4 low //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

now a standard 1/2 ton yeah the 300 will out pull it down low even vs a new ford but we are comparing sb : sb

and i was a ford tech //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i spoke from experience and still have access to to all the ford info thru tech login direct to the manufacturer.

look at the cost of doing even a simple starter on a ford vs a chevy or dodge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif almost double the cost and not any better of a part. its all labor and markup parts.

I totally agree the 4.6 from 96-98 were horrid. PI heads helped them engines a ton and most issues were gone. Never seen many issues out of the 99 and up myself, so not sure what the deal is there.

His 84 came with a 9 inch stock, you are not snapping anything but your hopes and dreams haha. That lil 6 will do it. We have fun out in the fields every so often //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But I do like those about 60+ recalls on the quality GM camaro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
