I'm doing my sound system in stages. I have "stage 1" complete, which was the installation of an Image Dynamics IDQ10v2-D4 subwoofer, Memphis MCD-250 amplifier, 4 gauge wiring, and line out converter.
Now I have the parts coming in for "stage 2" which will be:
Rainbow SLC265.03 6.5-inch component speakers
Xtant A4004T Titanium edition amplifier
Additional 4 gauge wiring to the Xtant amplifier
David Navone line out converter
16 gauge speaker wiring
I'm keeping the stock headunit for now. I still haven't found a good looking option for replacing the headunit. All of the kits look cheap and shitty.
Will the Xtant have enough power for those Rainbows? I know it can be bridged, but that would be 200W x 2 at 4 ohms which I think is too much. I'm planning on running the front components off of the amp and just keeping the stock speakers in back and having them run off the headunit like the stock configuration.
