what do u use to secure ur box from sliding

right now i got this ugly-ghetto *** bungy cord which i would like to be rid of... i cant do anything permanent seeing ill hoply change cars soon and then i cant build the box inside the car cuz well im not that good yet so give me a few idea on what u do to stop it from sliding around

really the easiest thing to do is buy L Brackets from home depot, lowes..ect.. Screw the bracket into the box and then into your carpet. That's what I did and it works good.. I put mine on the front of my box..but if u dont want it to be visible i suppose the back would work just fine.

The only true way to secure a box is to use nylon straps or something to that extent then attach the straps to your vehicle via bolts or some other direct connection with your vehicle. See if those L-brackets survive an accident over 20mph.

If you want something temporary just so it won't move around too much, use industrial velcro.

what would i attach this stuff to? my truck sucks it doesnt really have carpet just a small piece that covers the bottom...

I use some industrial strength Velcro and the shit has been on there for a year and a half and the box has not moved an inch.

well in the past i have bolted my box the the floor as well as to the back seat bracing.

have also used plummers strap and the L brackets to the back seat.

surely would suk to have one of these massive new drivers come from the hatch or cargo area in an SUV and take your head off in an accident.

this is the way to go.

I have 1 bracket on the back of my box and it holds it there real well. My subs are inverted too so that proves it works great.

someone also mentioned attaching the box to the metal using silicone. I figure this is a good idea too, since it can simply be cut should the need arise to move it.

well, i have a truck...and i put the box in, bolted it to the floor of the truck and then put the subs in. Doesn't move...period! lol, peace

could just put a rubber mat on the floor and place the box on that. temporary

fleet farm... tread.... i attached it to the box and it prevents it from sliding

may prevent it from sliding, but what if you get in an accident and go on your side or heaven forbid on your roof?

sub box is one hellova dangerous thing to have free roam in a vehicle.

espeically in a truck or hatch or suv.

still sux in a trunk but less chance of it causing too much damage.
