What Do the numbers mean on this motor??

The 856, or 85.6mm gap will accept an 8 layer coil, and it a lot better for a daily subwoofer.

The 818, or 81.8 will only accept a very thin, 4 layer flatwound coil. These are good for spl burps, but not so great for daily use compared to a fully built 856.

negative mine has a rounded top plate that had a flat one

SHW v1 used a copy/design/actual Atomic APX/APXX motor IIRC.
