What do Ohms mean

i have been into car audio for a while, but i never understood the defenition of ohms, ive heard people talk about the subs are 2 or 4 ohms, but which is better?

An Ohm is simply a measure of resistance or impedance. The concept of resistance is a simple one - how much "loss" there is in a conductor. Impedance is a little trickier to understand, but it's only used for circuits in which you have an AC signal.
