Power Handling Questions 4000watts

Hello, this is my first post to the forum.

I currently have a 2000 chevy silverado. Under the back seat I have (2) 12" kicker solobaric L7s. Running these 2 subs I have a kicker zx1500.1 amp.

The head unit is a Pioneer Navigation N3.

I want to enter some stereo competitions in the area. I have (2) 15" solobaric L7s and a kicker zx2500.1 amp that I want to add to the system only for competitions. I do not want to lose my backseat so this setup will just sit on the back seat when its time.

I want to know if I will have to do anything to the electrical system to the truck.

Ex. Alternator, Batteries, Capacitor? All my electrical is stock right now.

At what wattage should you be upgrading?

How do you figure youll have 4000 watts? You dont plan on using both amps, do you?

Even with just the 2500.1, Id do the big three, and if you still have trouble, upgrade the battery and alt.

Read up about mixing sub sizes.
