So its either that or an aolternator???Originally posted by Goddyd4me in theory its suppost to store power for the amp for a brief power burst(llike those long loud bass hits).......but they only work if the charging system is up to par
I would agrue differentley.....i completly agree that the system has to be able to keep up with the current that is being drawn before you do anything. However, once the alternator can supply enough juice, putting 2-10 farads of instintanious power right before the amps can help a lot, but agian only if they are being charged by the electrical system properly. I like to go by the saying "caps dont fix electrical problems, but they aide an already functional electrical system" --guess i should work on the wording for that quote //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifOriginally posted by Savant If you are having power issues, don't get a cap.. get an alternator (or get yours rewound)..
Caps are 99% useless (unless you play music that has huge bass hits on RARE occasion out of the blue...and you run your system at near max otherwise)

I like caps for the simple fact that I think they improve the look of your system but other than that, they are as previously mentioned, useless unless the charging system is up to the extra load on it. But then if the electrical system is upgraded then you shouldnt have to worry about a cap unless the alternator is slow to react to the constantly chnaging load like mine.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifOriginally posted by TheGrimReaperKD Waste your money, burn a hole in your pocket book. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
