What did i do wrong??

I never said you said they were louder. No matter what you say though, you fed them over double the RMS, that will be considered abuse right there, no matter how long you fed it to them. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Besides that, once the driver is returned and torn down, they will be able to judge whether there was a defect or it was abused.

and another thing.

the one that has never seen more than 320rms sounds the exact same when i turn it up. the crackling just isn't quite as loud. close, but not quite.

I FED ONE OF THEM 600-750 FOR A FEW SECONDS IN ITS RECOMENDED ENCLOSURE. are you telling me that it blew or fudged it all up? if so, then i would put them on par with a boss sub.

Nevermind. I don't need a video. READ carefully what I have typed. Take as just that. If I thought you'd blown it, I would have typed that and just that.

i said they sounded great at low volumes. like when i watch movies. i never said they were louder than the fosgates. not even close.
i gave them 300 a piece the entire time i had them( aweek maybe). this is the falling apart i was talking about. i gave it 600-750 for less than 20 secs so you could see for yourself.

sayin u sent 600-750 to one of them is false....in the sense that u prolly didnt crank the volume. u said u played it a little less or the same as daily levels. did u crank the music or what? i dont believe they saw a real 600-750 watts. but there is something wrong for sure, drive up and let em take a look.

he didnt send it double the RMS. the rating on all RL-i's being a 10" or 12" is from 150 to 500rms. if he didnt crank the volume or bass control up all the way it prolly didnt even get 500rms to it.

i just pulled the subs and they seem to be fine. resistance checks good and nothing smells burnt.

i met a guy who will let me drop them in a 1/2" mdf box with .8 cu each just to make sure its not the shiatty prefab messing me up. i'll let u know in an hour.

great news for me.

my original box was too big for them so i went and got some pre-fab boxes. apparently the first few songs i played on them caused the seam along the bottom back wall of the box to split. the subs were sealed up nice around the mounting surface but air was escaping through the seam in the back of the box. I traded the guy 50 bux and my old subs for his sealed box and they are sounding like they should. 300rms is enuff to make them last forever. I don't feel like they are at their full potential but they are pretty dang close.

i'll post up a new video today. (if they don't kick me outta the hotel parking lot)

thats great news! id love to see that video if you can post it up soon. for a minute i was going to go with the 110v.2 series. i think ill still go with the soundsplinters. l
