you don't just hook up one coil. shoulda used a wiring wizard.Ouch guys! I actually did read most of that information. The reason I had the gain and boost so high was to compensate for how loud my front stage is. I'm running a PG RSD6.5cs component set in the front powered by a Kicker KX250.2 85 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (125 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms) set to about set to about 75% gain.Oh god...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifset gains correctly (there's a how-to thread in the amp section), use no bass boost, and then see how you like it.
If its still not enough, then you'll have to get an amp, or (what I'd do) put it up for trade for a dual 4 version of the same sub
I never turn my Pioneer P6400 head unit about 48 out of 60.
I looked at the diagram as to hook up the sub, I just got a little mixed up trying to get the job done quickly. The plan was to wire it to a 4Ohm load, and it is now. I didn't notice it was wired wrong until I took it out this week.
I would love to trade it for a 4Ohm DVC sub so I could get full power out of the amp, but I'm not sure if its broken, and don;t want to rip anyone off.
