I have a JL Audio e1800 1000watt RMS and an Alpine Type X sub that I am willing to sell for $145 (my amp's underpowered).... But now to the point.
I am VERY interested in buying the kicker CVR/CVX series... but there's SO many to choose from.
I have been considering these setups:
1 CVX15 (1000 watt rms)
2 CVR15's (1000 watt rms total)
2 CVR12's (800 watt RMS total)
I was thinking I should probably go with the last one as my amp is probably just under 1000 watts and it will be pushing the 12's much harder, but I don't want to risk blowing them out although i think 100 watts extra per sub shouldn't do much harm. I am looking for subs that HIT REALLY HARD and you can hear them 2 blocks away. What do you guys think?
Do you think the CVR12 running overpowered will hit harder than the 15's slightly underpowered (my amp prob. doesn't run at 1000RMS constantly)?
