what could be wrong

I have a woofer that doesn't get any power. Coils don't read on a dmm but aren't burned. Coil isn't frozen in the gap and it makes no mechanical noises or rough feeling when pushed in or out. It's a dvc and neither set of sides read so I don't think its a tinsel lead
