What could be going on?????

I just bought an Cerwin Vega EXL1200d to replace my mtx 8302 and something ain't right. I just can't get no bass out of my subs without turning bass and subwoofer control all the way up on my head unit. And thats with the gain maxed out on the amp. Any ideas?????

all i could say is check wiring. or maybe check the options on the amp i have the cerwin vega 1000, and it has options like mono, stereo.. and all that so just make sure its set correctly with the right ohm configuration. is it an aftermarket head unit? or factory head unit? sometimes people install LOCs and forget to turn it up.

Wiring couldn't be more simple, i'm sure it right. It's a mono amp. And my head unit is an alpine cda 9825. Whats an LOC.

I believe 2. I have the speaker wire running off the amp to the first sub then to the next sub.

Yes its two ohm stable. I have the + from the amp to the first sub + then of that to the next sub+. Same with the ground.

I'm only need 300w rms for each of my subs so this one should be plenty powerful enough.
