What comps have STRONG midbass

I'm looking for a set of comps that have very strong midbass and a silk tweeter. My current setup is a pair of CDT CL-61A's with the TW-25 1" silk tweeter.

No metal tweeters for me. Price range is $250 to $300

the PG RSD's have awesome midbass. the tweeters are not metal, and sound very nice and detailed. not harsh at all.

Do you have room to add a 2nd mid on each side? That could be another option...

The window track in my GC is quite obtrusive. I could barely get my CDT 6.5's in there (with the help of the grill mounting ring)

Supposedly the Pioneer TS-C720PRS have really good mid-bass, read more about them here (http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7302). I have never listened to them personally, but if all goes well my set that I ordered should be here tomorrow, I'll post how they sound if you don't find enough info on them at diymobileaudio.

If I remember correctly they are 2.5" deep so they should fit.

DLS UP6, or the Pioneers, Or Rainbow kicks, SLC has silk dome

Well luckily almost everything will have more than what you currently have for drivers.

Your best bet however is to really focus on the install, midbass comes from deadening and isolating the back & front waves of the speakers. That and of course having something that can actually play midbass unlike the CDT's. A bit of processing can go a long way as well.
