What capacitor do I need?

duralast yellow top batt up front with 130 amp reserve works well with my zx1000.1...dont have big 3 allthough my ground at the batt is the same size as my amp ground.its a lil cheaper than the optima and i have zero problems.definately replace the batt you have now,if your alternator is good.you should not be having problems with only the zx750.1

how many amps in your alternator?

when I check for voltage drop, I check the battery in the morning before i start the car and after its been running for a while right? And do I use AC volts with a dmm and connect the positive to the positive terminal on the battery? And how many minutes should I wait to check if the amp protection light comes on?
You need to check the voltage drop when the system is running because that is when the most current is being drawn. All batteries are DC, so turn the multimeter to VDC. Tell us what your voltage is dropping to when the system is playing. If you're around 12 or below, you defiantly need to work on some electrical upgrades.

What VDC do I want to have?

Well, the higher the better. Safe operation for your car is in the low 12 - high 14 V range. Your car should run in the 13 and 14 V range without playing the system.
so with playing the system and the car running, I should have around 13.5-14.5 VDC?

I have a Kicker ZX750.1 and 2 Kicker CVR 12s. I had this problem, my subs cut out and then came back on repeatedly when I used my car's high beams or used my car's phone charger. I drive a 96 Camry. Will a capacitor solve this problem and what farad capacitor do I need? Also, does the brand name of the capacitor make a difference in sound?
What's your battery's voltage when everything is on? I would suggest a newer/bigger battery before I looked into a cap.
