What brand sub L7 or JL W7?

methinks there are some opinions in here who are uninformed, misinformed, or pre-dispositioned...
the L7 could get louder than the W7, depending on install, but in reality, the W7 should be the louder woofer. and not only should it be the louder woofer, but it will do so while sounding much better than the L7.

when comparing the two, there really isnt much of a comparison, W7 is the better woofer, all around the better woofer. except for one area. price.

so think to yourself, do you want to spend alot of money on a W7, or much less on an L7 that you will probably be just as happy with...

SPL setup with a W7 should be able to get louder than an L7 anyways...much more potential...much more excursion SHOULD=more output

the only thing I could see the L7 MAYBE winning is at like a 60hz+ note.

I say, if you have the cash to do a good W7 setup, then go for it. IMO you will be more satisfied.

If you ask me all of you who say the w7 has batter SQ smoke big crack rocks. you guys don't seem to realize INSTALL INSTALL INSTALL. Put the L7 in the right box and it will walk over the w7 in sq. L7's have won several SQ comps and MILLIONS of spl comps. as a matter of fact guess what sub won all the super stock classes in usaci finals last year. could it be. oh yeah its the L7. the jl audio W7 is a nice woofer don't get me wrong. but its not the end all if woofers by far.

W7 is definately not the end all of all woofers, but in the setups I have heard with L7's and W7's, I enjoyed the W7's more. We're not talking comp oriented setups here, just daily.

even daily the L7 can beat the w7 in sq. INSTALL INSTALL INSTALL. my comp system is a daily system i play 30 secodns of music at the show. I beat it around town.

you know whats funny in this thread? all of you guys talkin competitions this and that..honestly how many of your phucks even compete or will compete? id be willing to say only 10 out of every 100 will ever compete..so mostly your just buying for your daily driving needs..and whats the point of being loud if it sounds like pure ***..sure L7's won sq comps but do you know how much an installation like that cost to make an L7 sound so **** good to actually win comps in sq competitions? not even worth the money..thats like those mexicans buying that $400 caprice and throwing $4000 rims on it..no offense to mexicans just needed an example..lol you can take a w7 do a shitty install and still sound better..and thats what its about sound,sound,sound..if you want just loud and sound like *** throw your mother in law in the trunk..
