What box for type R's

Im getting 2 1242 type r's. Im going to put them in a sealed enclosure and i will power them with 600rms wattage at 1 ohm.

The recommended size for each is .7-1 cubed ft. At 300 watts a peice should I get a different size enclosure.

Note: The subs are rated for 500rms. They will be underpowered.

Ok ive been reading alot so how big should ported enclosures be?

there are a million threds on this same subject.

if you have the room go with a ported box, 2-2.5 cubic feet (each) tuned in the neighborhood of 32 - 35 hertz.

IF you decide to go sealed i would go no smaller than 1 cubic foot. 1.25 - 1.5 would be good.
