If you HAVE to do one or the other, grab the sealed. But, I just ran both combos on WinIsd, and the PG 10 would really sound great in the ported.......tuned to 30hz, not 40. VERY linear response all the way down to 35 hz with a -3 drop off at 25 hz. The sealed has a -3 at 53 hz.

My final answer: If you gotta buy one now, get the sealed. Then save your money to get a 1.1 cube ported tuned to 30. The sealed will sound good, But the ported@30 will sound GREAT!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

anyone know if i could adjust the tuning freq of the subzone box???

anyone know a good box maker that is cheap and accurate ?

oh and do you have the specs on the PG 10tiD ?? the winisd i have doesnt have the speaker in its memory. its beta version though.

I would say ported, but that is tuned a little high. If you can find something tuned in the lower 30's i would go for that.

ok well i just talked to a few "knowledgeable" people about box enclosures. i wont say who because im not taking there word as stone or anyone elses. as far as im concerned this whole "interest/hobby" is all based around opinion and preference. but,... "they" say that it is true that box making is a science but porting at 30Hz is way to low and you will be missing alot of music volume. 95% of music is above the 40Hz mark. it is also said that most prefab boxes that you buy from a flea market or local stereo shop are tuned at like 50 or so Hz and you rarely here any complaints.

anyways they said that two 10" pg tid's will totally slam the **** out of my 4runner.

they said that if i feed these 10's the full 500 watts RMS of power that PG says they can handle in this ported box, they could blow(assuming they can ONLY handle 500watts(they could be underated)). they said to try to feed them around 350-400W per speaker. what do you think about this?

they also said to set my subsonic filter to 20Hz even though the box is tuned to 39Hz. what do you think about this?
