What bass knobs do you guys use?

Was looking at knobs and seen some with clipping lights, they seem to work pretty good in yt videos I saw.  

Even seen a few with Voltmeters.

I have about 1/4 my build bought, when im done ill have an Orion dv2 5k with an Fi Team 18 V2,  using a 6.5cub box tunned to 33hz.  

I watched some videos on clipping light bass knobs and they all seem to clip at the same point or around the same point as SMD dd1,  so why not just buy one of those for 10 bucks and set ur gains instead of paying 150 for dd1?

Knobs with clipping lights are not universal. They are amp specific.

As far as the best knobs. There was a big write up on all the knobs and this one placed first. I bought one and gave away all my trash LC1s. These are fantastic knobs.

I seen a video today from some guy who repairs amps saying that if you set ur gain with speakers unplugged then after u plug them back in the signal will be clipped.  Not sure if this is real or not.

idk about clipping vs plugged in vs not, but i trust JL.  ask JL.  if anyone knows, they will
