What are the best speakers around?

Okai well im new to caraudio etc...but i was thinking about getting some bose speakers in my car,but ive been reading around in the forums and people said that there were alot of better speakers than bose so im having second thoughts about getting bose I want something that is a very clear sound and that is loud and everyone can hear me when im comin down the block also i need speakers that are good quality that will not break on me if i turn the nob pass 20

Also what are tweeters???Sorry im a n00b on caraudio equipment and still have alot to learn please help me out!

2-way component speakers are comprised of 2 separate speakers....

Midwoofer: reproduces midbass and midrange frequencies, usually in the range of 80Hz - 4,000Hz depending on the design and capability.

Tweeter: reproduces the upper range of frequencies, usually taking over where the midwoofer leaves off, so 4,000Hz on up. Again, this will differ depending on the design and capability.

Now to answer what are the best speakers around: whichever speakers sound best to your ears. It's purely subjective on an individual basis, so you need to go out and audition as many sets as you can with the types of music you primarily listen to.

i have memphis components that i think are the best all around but im sure every one will tell you something diffrent. your best bet is find a good (as in not bestbuy or something) car audio shop in your town where they have a wall where you can lessen to diffrent speakers. also talk to them about what you want as far as price and sound quality and so on. that will be your best bet. plus you will support a local shop that in the end will work out to your favor becasue not my local shop gives me free wires when ever i need them becasue i know the guy and come in a lot. i know its not that big but when you need a set of RCA's or real thick wire it adds up to prity good.

Well then i think bose has one of the clearest sounds so ima have to go w/those ,but alot of people on here say they ****...so yea im wondering what u guys use or prefer?Also i bump that west coast/h-town/d-town rap.

Bose does not have one of the best sounds. It just may be all you know.

What is your budget?

Do you like your speakers to sound "bright", sort of like a lot of treble. Or do you like them soulful and laid back?

I mean people are sayin its your decision,well alot of speakers are bad and bose they have a good home thatre speaker so that is why im goin w/it ,but sence i pick bose everyone is like hell nah that shits whack so wtf do i go w/give me some suggestions!!!

Dynaudio 3 ways with the 8" woofer are pretty top of the line, Rainbow top end components as well.

Critcal mass 5.1 system LOL.

where are you going to put these speakers? stock locations? do you want something that drops right in? what kind of car do you have? will you use an amplifier on these? again do not mean to sound mean but as far as aftermarket goes bose doesnt make car audio speakers..and if you went back to the car dealership to get a bose factory system you would be getting robbed imo

A 3-way set consists of three speakers, and it's a tougher install. You should go with 2-way, which consists of two speakers. As was asked, what type of car do you have?
