Should've got the SQ 2200 on Cyber Monday. Hifonics makes good budget amps for your price range.

know anything about the orion cb5000.1d says 2500 rms as wel as the rub1 2500 rms

Rubicon is overrated. Orion is not as good as they use to be.

Heres a couple cheaper options but are decent amps.

- Soundstream Ta1.3000, Rated 3k @ .5ohm and 2500 @ 1 ohm, $279 shipped with warranty from onlinecarstereo.com
- PPI Black Ice BA7000.1, Rated 3500 @ .5 ohm(< probably more like 3k actually), 2300 @ 1 ohm, $219 Shipped from warranty onlinecarstereo.com

Yes you can, the quailty may not be on par with the "heavy hitters", but you can find one that will do about 2500, or close to it.
